Morocco’s Boumadine Development Plan Includes Major Processing and Site Infrastructure
On 22 October, reports on Aya Gold & Silver’s Boumadine project described a proposed mine and processing development with US$463 million in estimated initial capital expenditure. The preliminary plan includes open-pit and underground mining and a processing facility designed for approximately 2.9 million tonnes of material annually, with feasibility work continuing. The figure is an estimated development cost rather than a confirmed EPC contract; infrastructure and engineering firms can explore technical simulations, equipment-performance modelling and operational forecasting, while HPC can support engineering workloads.
